What inspires me…

What fascinates me most about the art of the Renaissance and the Baroque is the incredible amount of skill and knowledge that goes into every work. Crafting and mixing colors, mastering perspective and proportion, thrive on subsistence while the most ingenious depictions of skin, flesh and bodies have been created. For me, the concept of art naturally includes both the idea and the composition of the picture. But nothing inspires me as much as the craftsmanship and perfection from the brush of humanity, as unique as its likeness.
